The best method for building content strategy is to create a 12-month rolling calendar with both fixed and variable spaces for messaging. Fixed spaces revolve around fixed events like seasonality and tradeshows. Variable spaces are intentionally left blank for new product announcements, responses to industry news and other difficult-to-predict messaging opportunities.
The idea is to focus your audience on messages that link to the sales/marketing strategy and increase the probability of conversions, sales and profits.
